EasyBikes Rental Terms & Card Authorization
Before Pickup
Before receiving any rental equipment, all renters must:

Present a valid government-issued photo ID

Match the name on the reservation
-
Complete and accept the rental agreement and liability waiver

Provide a valid payment method
-
Meet any applicable age requirements
EasyBikes reserves the right to refuse rental service if these requirements are not met.
What You Pay at Booking
At the time of booking, customers are charged for:

Rental fees
-
Delivery fees (if selected)
-
Optional accessories or add-ons
EasyBikes does not require a large refundable security deposit for standard rentals.
Card Authorization
By completing a booking and accepting these terms, the renter authorizes EasyBikes.ca to retain a valid payment method and agrees to pay all amounts properly owed under the rental agreement.
Additional charges may apply for:

Damage beyond normal wear and tear

Lost, stolen, or missing equipment
-
Failure to return rental equipment
-
Late return fees
-
Excessive cleaning
-
Recovery or collection costs related to unreturned equipment
EasyBikes will provide reasonable documentation of any additional charges upon request.
Customer Responsibility
The renter is responsible for all rental equipment from the time of pickup until the equipment is returned and inspected by EasyBikes.
Rental equipment includes, but is not limited to:

Bicycle
-
Battery
-
Charger
-
Lock
-
Helmet
-
Child seat
-
Rack accessories
-
Any additional rented items
All equipment must be returned in substantially the same condition as received, excluding normal wear resulting from proper use.
E-Bike Battery Responsibility
The renter acknowledges that the battery is a high-value component of the bicycle.
The renter may be responsible for replacement or repair costs resulting from:

Loss or theft
-
Water damage
-
Physical damage
-
Improper charging
-
Misuse
-
Failure to return the battery
Damage, Theft, and Loss
If rental equipment is damaged, lost, stolen, destroyed, or not returned, the renter may be charged for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
Replacement costs may include:

Parts
-
Labor
-
Shipping
-
Taxes
-
Administrative costs associated with recovery or replacement
EasyBikes will use commercially reasonable repair and replacement costs.
Late Returns
Rental equipment must be returned at the agreed return time.
Late returns may result in additional rental charges.
Equipment not returned within a reasonable period may be considered unreturned and subject to replacement charges.
Condition Documentation
EasyBikes may photograph or document the condition of rental equipment before and after each rental.
The renter agrees that these records may be used to determine responsibility for damage occurring during the rental period.
Prohibited Use
Rental bicycles may not be used:

Off marked and legal riding areas
-
For racing or competition
-
For commercial delivery services
-
By anyone other than the registered renter
-
Under the influence of alcohol or drugs
-
In any manner inconsistent with manufacturer recommendations
The renter assumes responsibility for any damage resulting from prohibited use.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EasyBikes shall not be responsible for:

Personal injury
-
Property damage
-
Lost profits
-
Travel interruptions
-
Indirect or consequential damages
Use of rental equipment is at the renter's own risk.
Insurance
EasyBikes does not provide insurance coverage for theft, damage, injury, or personal property loss.
Renters are encouraged to verify any coverage available through:

Personal insurance policies
-
Travel insurance
-
Credit card benefits
